Duties: Possess a desire to seek a better
understanding of God’s Word; leaders will be a
confirmed Catholic with a desire to serve others.

Children's Faith Formation
Duties: Help children grow in faith through their
participation in the parish religious education
program. Positions include: Catechists, Aides, Office
Moms, Child Care Assistants, and Special Projects
Time: Once a week (3 to 4 hours preparation time,
plus 75 minutes instruction time); September through
May.Training available for each ministry. All
volunteers must complete the Archdiocesan child
Skills: Enjoy working with children; experience
Infant Baptism Preparation
Duties: Lead parents in group discussions about
their faith journeys, the meaning of the sacrament of
Baptism, and the critical role parents play in their
children’s faith development.
Time: One 3-hour session on the second Saturday of
the month; preparation time; initial & on-going
formation; twice annually.
Skills: Hospitality, faith-sharing, small group
Ed & Gail Stapanon
Little Flower School
Duties: Numerous volunteer opportunities during
the school day in office, library etc.Also with various
fundraisers during the year such as mulch sale,
bingo, and casino night.
Skills: Desire to assist in school programs,
organizational skills.Must complete archdiocesan
child protection program.
Marriage Preparation, Couple Sponsor
Duties: Married couples meet with engaged couples
to help them prepare for marriage.
Time: Varies (includes several meetings with couple
in sponsor couple’s home).
Skills: Ability to listen well and share experience as a
married couple; training provided.
Ed and Anne Steiner
Youth Ministry (via Christi Youth Group)
Duties: Participate in and assist the Youth Ministry
with planning and implementation.Elements of the
program include: the weekly Youth Group gatherings,
the monthly Youth Mass, retreats, fundraisers,
Archdiocesan-sponsored activities, etc.
Time: Sunday afternoon.
Skills: The ability to relate effectively to teens in a
faith and social context.This includes: patience,
listening, teaching without preaching, flexibility, and
comfortably sharing of one’s faith. Other individual
skills or interests are welcome as they may enhance
the overall program.All volunteers must complete the
Archdiocesan child protection program.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Duties: Facilitate the process of initiating new
members into our Roman Catholic community of
faith through Baptism, Confirmation and
Eucharist.Team duties include: catechist, sponsor
formation, hospitality, and publicity.
Time: Weekly from September through May with
